    Java Fern Disease

    My Java Ferns are suffering what ppl usually name as "the microssorum disease". They get blackened, then gets browned, then gets full of small holes, and simply it dissolves itself rottening. What causes this, and what to do to avoid this?

    What is in your water, what do you add, how much light does it get....
    how did i get myself into this stuff ?

    I agree,it does better in high light,also is your water soft,it sounds like it is.

    when transferring java fern from differing water conditions the leaves tend to brown off and die.

    I have no idea what tetra flora pride is but java fern should not require any ferts. And yes, if you put a plant into water that is very different from where it came from you may see some leaves die. We need more info about your tank, water, lighting situation, additives, if you have any meds in the tank right now. Medicine and salt can rot java fern....
    how did i get myself into this stuff ?
